The Brief

Maters & Co came to Marca looking to modernise their storefront and improve performance. Their existing theme no longer reflected the quality of the brand, and key parts of the customer journey were under-optimised for conversion.

The goal was not just to update the look of the site, but to rebuild it with a CRO-first mindset. The brand needed clearer product storytelling, stronger decision support, and better exposure of its range, all while elevating the overall aesthetic.

The SOLUTION

We rebuilt the store on an updated Shopify theme, fully customised to reflect the Maters & Co brand while prioritising speed, clarity, and usability.

The experience was redesigned around key behavioural principles. We introduced a custom cart with free gift milestones to incentivise higher-value baskets, added annotated imagery to highlight product benefits at a glance, and rebuilt PDPs as deep-dive decision pages that answered key customer questions before they could become objections.

To improve product discovery and expose entry-level SKUs, we built a custom “Build a Box” flow, making it easier for new customers to explore the range without feeling overwhelmed. We also restructured the menu and navigation to reduce cognitive load and guide users more intuitively through the store.

This was not just a visual refresh, but a strategic rebuild designed to convert more traffic into customers.
