The Need For change

The existing Ink&Drop theme did not need replacing. It had however, not been updated in over 2 years, and as such was around 8 versions behind. The site was slow to load, and was negatively affecting core metrics. We also undertook a CRO audit whilst we were updating the theme and uncovered some fundamentals that should be changed during the update.

What we did

We updated the theme, then merged the codebases to ensure any custom development work that had been undertaken on the site was not lost. We then redeveloped the home page, collection page, product page templates and more. There is a new cart and navigation, aswell as tooling that will help automated fulfilment more efficiently.
